Fort Myers, FL, Nov. 20, 2025 – Lavender’s Landing Boat Ramp, located at 7290 Barrancas Ave. N.W. in Bokeelia, will reopen earlier than anticipated. The ramp will be open to the public starting at 7 a.m. Friday, Nov. 21.

Household Chemical Waste Collection Nov. 15 on Pine Island

Fort Myers, FL, Oct. 29, 2025 – Pine Island and Matlacha residents will be able to safely and responsibly dispose of household chemical waste, such as leftover paints, cleaners, herbicides, pesticides, automotive fluids and pool chemicals, on Saturday, Nov.15, 2025.

The collection, hosted by Lee County Solid Waste in partnership with Lee County Parks & Recreation, will be held from 8 a.m. to noon at Philips Community Park, 5675 Sesame Drive, Bokeelia. Drop-off is an easy, drive-through process available to all residents at no charge.
